Wilford "Red" Wheatley

BLUFFTON, SC-- Wilford "Red" Wheatley, 80, of Bluffton, SC, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, at his home after a long battle with Parkinson's.
A native of Washington, DC. Survived by Theresa, his wife of 57 years; daughter, Donna Wheatley-Troup; son, Paul Wheatley (wife Linda) and daughter-in-law, Beth Wheatley. He was predeceased by his son, Timothy Wheatley.
Retired from Milliken & Co after 23 years and former parishioner of Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church. He was a US Army Paratrooper during the Korean War. He was a member of the Sun City Veterans Club.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 til 5:00 pm, Sunday, August 5, 2012, at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton. A Wake Service will be held at 4:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Monday, August 6, 2012, at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton with burial at 2:00 pm in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Low Country, PO Box 3827, Bluffton, SC 29910 or St. Gregory Catholic Church, Bluffton, SC.
