Martha Hayes
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Martha Sue Suttles Hayes, 48, of Spartanburg, passed away on August 4, 2012. Born June 27, 1964 in Spartanburg County, She was the daughter of the late Herman Suttles and Betty Jo Pruitt Suttles. She worked as a caregiver, was a member of Tabernacle of Love Church where she sang in the church band, and was a musician who enjoyed playing the piano, guitar, and organ.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Sue White and her husband Kevin of Inman; one son, Dustin Jordan Hayes and his wife Stephanie of Mooresboro, NC; two brothers, Mark Suttles of Spartanburg and Matthew Suttles of Chesnee; three sisters, Lois Plumley of Landrum, Jo Henderson of Gaffney, and Marcella Suttles of Jonesville; and by four grandchildren, Jacob and Whitney White and Jaymz and Rachel Hayes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Upton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2012 at Tabernacle of Love Church with Rev. Marvin Durham, Jr. and Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Friendly Hills Cemetery.
The family is at the home of her daughter, 1559 Compton Bridge Road, Inman, SC 29349.
