Mr. Hamrick was a devoted husband, a loving father, and good friend to many people. He will be missed by his family and community.
Surviving are three sons, Lyman Hamrick and wife, Lee, and Wardlaw Hamrick and wife, Gail, all of Gaffney, and Robert Hamrick, Sr. of Blacksburg; seven grandchildren, Elliott Hamrick and wife, Katie, Sarah Hamrick, Catherine Hampton and husband, Kevin, Cameron Hamrick and wife, Brooke, Dr. Addison Hamrick, Robert Hamrick, Jr. and wife, Angel and Travis Hamrick; five great-grandchildren, Patrick Hampton, Peyton Hampton, Paxton Hampton, Nick Hamrick and Torie Hamrick. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Hamrick Beattie.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at the Hamrick home, 435 S. Limestone Street, Gaffney, SC. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 24, 2012, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Sellers officiating. Entombment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
The family will be at their respective homes.
