WELLFORD, SC-- Norma Davidson Knighton, 72, of 150 Gosnell Road, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 30, 2012. She was the wife of Donnie G. Knighton, Sr. of 51 years and the daughter of the late Robert Eston Davidson and Leona Willis. She was a native of Wellford and a member of the Duncan Church of Christ.
Survivors also include a daughter, Laura Knighton Robertson and husband Darrell of Wellford; two sons, Donnie G. Knighton, Jr. and wife Theresa of Duncan, and Timothy E. Knighton and wife Melanie of Inman; two brothers, Stanford Lee Davidson of Hartwell, GA and Danny Willis of Columbus, NC; and a sister, Janet Lynn Martin and husband Jimmy of Wellford. Norma was a loving and devoted wife, mother and "Nana" with 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; also a numerous amount of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews who were also a wonderful and important part of her life. She was predeceased by a sister, Judy K. Frier; and a brother, Robert Eston Davison, Jr.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at the Duncan Church of Christ, 1234 Danzler Rd with Minister Jon Mitchell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers, friend of family, Chuck Wright and grandsons, Clay Robertson, Matthew Easler, Eric Camp, Jonathan Fowler and great-grandson, Chase Johnston.
