Irene Harris Giles
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Irene Genelle Harris Giles, 78, died Sunday, September 30, 2012. A native of Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Allen Carl Harris and Nina Whitlock Harris. Mrs. Giles was a homemaker and a member of Converse Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Donna Giles (Glenn Burrell) and Delaine Griswold (Phillip) all of Boiling Springs, SC; a son, Brian Giles of Spartanburg; granddaughters, Ishka Littlejohn of Spartanburg and Tonya Pettit of Hollywood, FL; a great-grandchild, Bailey; a brother, Allen Harris and a sister, Lena Floyd Hughes both of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by brothers, Delvin, Ned, Bill, and Ben Harris and a sister, Carlene Bensfield.
Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, at New Beginnings UMC in Boiling Springs, officiated by Rev. Thomas Smith and Dr. David Lancaster.
