Dennis L. Murphy
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. Dennis L. Murphy, 59, of 142 East Columbia Ave., passed on Tuesday evening, October 2, 2012, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was the husband of Mrs. Lillie Murphy. Mr. Murphy was the son of the late Mr. Benjamin Murphy and Mrs. Marie Crawford Murphy. He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Demaris G. Taylor (Sterlin) of Spartanburg, SC, and Charlotte Smith of Indian Trail, NC; a son, Rashard Wright of Spartanburg, SC; two sisters, Mary M. Murphy of Atlanta, GA, and Diane Wright of Spartanburg, SC; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning, October 5, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel. Dr. B.D. Snoddy will officiate. Burial will be in the Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with military rites.
The family will receive friends at the home.
