Margaret Wilson Epton
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Margaret Wilson Epton, 93, died Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Regional Hospice Home. She was a daughter of the late Walter D. Wilson, Sr. and Nellie McGuinn Wilson and former wife of the late Joe Epton, Sr.
Mrs. Epton was a self-employed cosmetologist and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed her flowers, goldfish, birds, and gardening.
Surviving are a son, Ronnie D. Epton of Spartanburg; a son-in-law, Fred Lockman of Moore; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne and Kenneth Wilson; and sisters, Mary F. Wilson and JoAnn W. Creel. She was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda E. Lockman, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 6, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens officiated by Rev. Michael Royal. The family will receive friends after the service at graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Margaret W. Epton Memorial Fund, c/o Bobo Funeral Chapel, 1860 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC, 29307.
