INMAN, SC-- Ms. Shirley George Dorshimer, 67, of 509 Green Willow Drive, Inman, passed away November 24, 2012. A native of East Stroudsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and step-mom, Lillian Rose George and Ada Wildrick George. She worked as a waitress, was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving boyfriend, Kenny Mitchem of the home; one daughter, Tammy Felmet (Rusty) of Spartanburg; three sons, Thomas Carmen (Kelly) of Chesnee, Ted Carmen (Irene) of Lexington, NC, John Dorshimer (Terri) of Gaffney; one brother, Paul George (Sue) of FL; three sisters, Nancy Hillard (Larry) of PA; Connie Eustice (Michael Czepkiewicz) of Campobello, Colleen Hayes (Paul) also of PA; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and by her beloved cat, Hobo.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grady Gregory officiating. Interment will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
The family will be at the home of her son, Tommy Carmen, 5095 Chesnee Hwy., Chesnee, SC 29323.
