DRAYTON, SC-- Charlotte Hall Hood, 78, died peacefully at home Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She was the widow of Carl Norman Hood and daughter of the late James Arthur Hall, Sr. and Mollie Hart Hall.
Mrs. Hood was a member of the Church of Christ and retired from the Specialty Packaging Dept. of Timbar, formerly Sunbelt Containers. She was loved by her friends and she was like an extended mother to the family.
She is survived by a brother, James "Jim" Hall, Jr. of the home; a nephew, Rocky Bennett of Spartanburg; caregiver and a niece, Jody Bennett of Spartanburg and other nieces, Shirley H. Whiteside of Cooley Springs, Caroline Hall and Shannon H. Lassiter both of Spartanburg; special friends, Lynda Leonard, Glyn Shackleford, and Julia Kirby. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Shannon Hood, who died at age 15; a sister, Virginia "Jenny" Bennett; a brother, Garvin "Bub" Hall; and a niece, Kim Hall.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, at Bobo Funeral Chapel officiated by Chaplain Ryan McJimpsey and eulogy by Dr. Judy Bazemore, a dear friend. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
