Dear Joyce,
Perrin called me last Thursday or Friday to tell me about your mother's passing. The funeral was to be the next day and I was in Hilton Head at my church's Women's Retreat and had responsibilities with it, so was so disappointed not to be able to come to the funeral. I was shocked when Perrin told me. When you have time, please email or call me and let me know what happened! I was so glad Perrin and I were able to have a visit with both of you at Christmas and she seemed to be doing so well! When were you called? When did you get back to Spartanburg? I wish I had known she was so sick. I would've come to see her. Anyway, I loved her dearly. She was always so sweet to me and I will miss her so much. I'm thankful we had her for as long as we did. Now she is with her dear Buck and I imagine they are having a good time fishing and/or raising a glass or two! She was so good for and to Buck... and we both loved him so much. I remember being jealous when they first started dating!
So, when will I see you again? Please let me know when you will be in Spartanburg seeing about her house, etc., or when you can come to Mt. Pleasant to visit. Know I love and care about you, too!
Well, your mother was a great lady-fun, smart, sweet, loving, pretty, good-hearted, etc., and I will certainly miss her. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers and do stay in touch.
Love,
Patti

Joyce, I was sorry to hear about Virginia's passing. I tried to take Mama by there whenever we went to Spartanburg. She was always so cheerful and fun to be around. She loved to go with us to Wade's and order the sweet potato casserole. We will not be able to make it to the service tomorrow. My prayers are with you during this difficult time. Love, Faye
