WOODRUFF, SC-- Willene Pinkard Pearson, 92, formerly of 7 Cedar Lane went home to be with Jesus, Friday, February 22, 2013, at Regional Hospice Home.
A native of Winston County, AL, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Luther and Mattie Curtis Pinkard and was the widow of Thomas Greene "Pop" Pearson. She was a member of the Woodruff Church of God and was a homemaker.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty Ball and her husband, Rev. Buster Ball of Woodruff and Annette Richards and her husband, Ronnie Richards of Woodruff; one son, Kenneth Pearson and his wife Linda Pearson of Greenville; four brothers and three sisters, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Winell Wooten and also by a son, Glenn Pearson and one sister and two brothers. Mrs. Pearson was also pre-deceased by two grandsons, Joe Wooten and Ricky Ball.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 3:00 P.M. at the Woodruff Church of God by Rev. Curtis Terry, Rev. James Shealy. Interment will follow in Green Pond Memorial Cemetery conducted by Rev. Jason Fowler and Rev. Buster Ball.
Visitation will be held today, Saturday, February 23, 2013, from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary in Woodruff.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodruff Church of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 275, Woodruff, SC 29388.
The family is at the home of Ronnie and Annette Richards, 190 Fortenberry Road, Woodruff.
