CHESNEE, SC-- Mr. William "Larry" Trout, 73, of Chesnee, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at his home. Born November 12, 1940 in Buck Creek, he was the loving husband of Doris Barnette Trout and the son of the late Weaver Trout and Corene Hall Trout. He retired after 19 years from Duke Power, was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church and of the Cattleman's Association. He was also a 33rd degree Shriner, a member of the hillbilly clan and he enjoyed coon hunting and farming.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Todd Trout, Lorri Trout and Lea Wilson and her husband Greg, who he loved as one of his own, all of Chesnee; four siblings, Bob Trout (Patsy) and Doug Trout (Pam) both of Chesnee, Kathy Trout of Columbia and Crystal Baker (Tom) of Elko; and by 7 grandchildren, who he has a special love for, Doris Emily Buckley, Victoria Buckley, Dylan Trout, Cole Trout, Cutler Wilson, Lander Wilson and Timber Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Emily Owens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Buck Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Gulledge, Rev. Larry Fleming and Rev. Scott Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
