SPARTANBURG, SC-- Tanya Jean Effler Tiede, 43, of 705 Idlewood Circle, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2014.
Born in Spartanburg, she was the wife of Christopher Ray Tiede and daughter of Philip Grant Effler of Green Creek, NC, and the late Sandra Kay Simpson Effler who passed away on March 24, 2014. Mrs. Tiede was a graduate of Broome High School and Cherokee Technology Center. She was employed by the Spartanburg Housing Authority, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Spartanburg Ward 1. Tanya loved animals and loved helping others.
Surviving in addition to her husband and father are a daughter, Hannah Tiede of the home; a sister, Candace Plemons and husband, David, of Cowpens; her grandparents, Hershel Thurmond Simpson and Jean Verwolfe Simpson of Lacey, WA; a niece, Sarah Plemons and a nephew, Brandon Plemons.
The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Stateline Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. at the Church with the Rev. Kris Showen and Bishop William Mather officiating. Interment will be in the Stateline Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes.
