CAMPOBELLO, SC- Gibson "Gibby" Ann Bowman Keesling, age 72, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Keesling is survived by two daughters, Holly Hardin and husband, Todd, and Jodie Keesling; four grandchildren: Jessica Fortin, and husband, Richard Fortin III; Kyle Hardin and wife, Tayera; Thomas Rabatie, and Rebecca Hardin; and one great-grandchild, Richard Fortin IV. Mrs. Keesling was preceded in death by her husband, of 50 years, George Robert "Bob" Keesling, DDS, who passed away May 25, 2011; and one son, Kelly Keesling.
Gibby was born on August 21, 1941 in Michigan to the late Stuart Bowman and Martha Ann Pierceson Bowman. She graduated from Miss Doherty's High School in 1958 and attended Miami University for one year. She had made her life in Cincinnati, Ohio, until her husband's retirement in 1986, when they moved to a small farm in Campobello, S.C.
The family would like to offer a special word of thanks to the staff at Interim Hospice. They also thank their friends for the many prayers and kind expressions of love and care.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at a later date.
