CHESNEE, SC-- Mr. Jackie Eugene Page, 68, of 751 Peach Shed Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Born September 9, 1945 in Spartanburg County, he was the loving husband of Rita Hughey Page and the son of the late George Rufus Page and Josephine Hughey Page. He had been the owner of Jackie's Wholesale and J. & R. Janitorial. Jackie was an avid bass fisherman and he loved playing guitar with the Rocky Ford Band at area nursing homes. He was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church and served in the National Guard.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Wendy Mabry (Mike), Susanne Grubbs (Earl) and Danny Page (Angel); three step-children, Todd Hughey (April), Lisa Brock (Doug), and Glenn Hughey (Mary); brother, Joe Page (Brenda); six grandchildren, Jordan and Jarrett White, Madison and Morgan Grubbs, Matthew Page and Ashley Everhart; and by four step-grandchildren, Zach and Marissa Hughey and Lainey and Avery Brock; and a great-grandson, Michael Gilenwater.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Fleming and Dr. Gary Grogan. Interment will follow in Buck Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the residence.
