SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Doris Lucille Culbreth Miller, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at her home. Born June 23, 1942, she was the widow of Ike Reid Miller and the daughter of the late Leolin Culbreth and Frances Scruggs Culbreth. She retired from Pentex as a machine operator and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Cowpens where she served on the visitation committee and was the secretary of her Sunday school class.
She is survived by her six children: Debbie Searcy (James) of Cowpens, Barbara Brown (Matthew) of Enoree, Michael Powell of Gaffney, Lee Burnette (Amanda) of Cowpens, Sabrina Whitener (David) of Spartanburg, and Shannon Powell of Cowpens; six siblings: Faye Fritts of TN, Boyd Culbreath, Angie Price, Lois "Susie" Wagner, Paul Culbreth, and Keith Culbreth, all of Cowpens; 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Culbreth.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm at Mountain View Baptist Church of Cowpens. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in the church with the Rev. Steven Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at 2020 Wagner Culbreth Road, Cowpens, SC 29330.
