Joyce Howell Fuller
GAFFNEY, SC-- Joyce Howell Fuller, 89, of 805 College Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Novant Gaffney Medical Center.
Born in Concord, NC, she was the loving wife of Oscar Macon Fuller for 65 years and the daughter of the late Carl Jackson Howell and Evelyn Griffin Howell. She was a graduate of Wake Forest University, a homemaker and a former Teacher. Mrs. Fuller was a member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she was very active in her circle, mission activities, care committee, church library and her Sunday School Class. She was a fundraiser volunteer for Miracle Hill Ministries, volunteer for Meals on Wheels, March of Dimes and was an avid Bridge player. She had a special love for her family, church family and friends, and never met a stranger. She loved to entertain her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, also surviving is a son, Mark Fuller and wife, Elise of Old Fort, NC; a daughter, Anne Warf and husband, Tom of Charleston; a brother, Jack Howell Jr. and wife, Virginia of Charlotte; four grandchildren, Ahren Warf, Bryan Warf, Ellie Fuller and Gracie Fuller; and a great-grandchild, Skyler Warf.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at First Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Sellers and Dr. M.B. Morrow, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
