SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Jewel Estell Stacey Henderson, 87, of Spartanburg, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 1, 2014. A native of Harris, NC, she was the loving wife to Raymond Eugene Henderson and the daughter of the late George Stacey and Loretta Benson Stacey. She graduated high school, then went on to receive a diploma in nursing and then opened and operated Madison Nursing Home in Cincinnati, OH. She was a member of Casey Creek Baptist Church and her passion in life was taking care of her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Mitchel Henderson and his wife Melinda, Scott Henderson, and Debbie Wilson and her husband Dwayne; three sisters, Ava Hammett, Loree Gossett and Agonda Crowe; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings: Albert Stacey, Howard Stacey, Gladie Henderson, and Faye Camp.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 2:30 pm at Eggers Funeral Home of Chesnee. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Chesnee with Rev. Shane Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the home of Debbie and Dwayne Wilson.
