BOILING SPRINGS, SC-James Roy Bond, 80, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014. He was a native of Tylertown, MS. He was married to Doris Bullard Bond for 60 years. His parents were Murphy A. and Retha Smith Bond of Tylertown, MS.
Mr. Bond was retired from Hoechst Celanese Corporation where he worked as an Electrical Engineer and managed the Utility Department.
He was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Hope Bond of Boiling Springs and Ty Warlick of Woodstock, GA; three grandchildren: Nick, Becca, and Cole Warlick of Woodstock, GA; three brothers and sisters-in-law: T. Everette and Charlene Bond of Rison, AR, Murphy E. (Abe) and Ione Bond of Petal, MS, and Robert M. and Sharon Bond of Fairhope, AL; one sister and brother-in-law: Patty B. and Joel Hinson of Tylertown, MS. He was predeceased by a brother, Ross Bond.
Graveside services will be held in Good Shepherd Memorial Park on Highway 9 north of Boiling Springs on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Bobby Lindsey will officiate. The family will meet friends following the service at the gravesite.
