GAFFNEY, SC-- Bruce Michael Yeargin, 71, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Jackie Thompson Yeargin and son of the late Harry William Yeargin and Roseline Thomas Yeargin. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam era. Mr. Yeargin was the owner/operator of Bruce Yeargin Photography and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
In addition to his wife, also surviving are three daughters, Summer Yeargin Carling and husband, Shawn; April Yeargin Barnhill and husband, K.C.; and Autumn Michelle Yeargin, all of Gaffney; two brothers, Alvin Yeargin and wife, Alice of Jacksonville, FL, and Don Yeargin and wife, Betty of Gaffney; eight grandchildren: Sawyer Carling, Silvie Carling, Siler Carling, Saxon Carling, a baby girl on the way, Charlie Barnhill, Conrad Barnhill and Jayden Northey. Mr. Yeargin was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Patrick Barnhill; a brother, Tommy Yeargin; and a sister, Rosenelle Yeargin.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the church with Elder Manfred Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Carling, Mr. and Mrs. K.C. Barnhill and Miss Autumn Yeargin officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, PO Box 1886, Gaffney, SC, 29342.
