LYMAN-- Syble Beasley O'Shields, born February 5, 1921, married Arthur William O'Shields August 8, 1941, died August 13, 2014. Daughter of Lucy and Angus Beasley, sister, Lera Beasley Hilly, and brother, Woody Beasley, all deceased. Syble worked at Lyman Printing and Finishing for 40 years and as Paymaster for 23 of those years. She was a member of the Lymans, a community support group of women employees.

She was an avid Clemson sports fan and did not miss a home football game for 46 years, always wearing orange and bringing a tailgate picnic that would rival any at the stadium.

She was a beautiful woman, wife, community servant and friend. She made a difference in our world.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Brian Gilmer and Arthur Brooks.
