William Jean Henry
SPARTANBURG, SC- William J. Henry, 77, formerly of the Isle of Palms, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
Bill was a 1955 graduate of Greenville High School and the Citadel in 1959, where he served in the infantry and retired with the rank of Captain. After 42 years of service with Milliken & Co., Bill retired in 2001. He was a long time member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent, Spartanburg, SC.
In addition to his wife, Betsy, he is survived by his sons, Todd Henry and wife, Jacqueline, and their daughters, Gwendolyn and Evelyn of Acworth, GA; Jeff Henry and wife, Elizabeth, and their daughters, Sophia and Caroline of Greenville, SC; son in-law, Eddie Weathers of Easley, SC, and his children, Ali Weathers of Columbia, SC and Will Weathers of Easley, SC; his daughter, Dawn Henry Clancy and husband, Mark, and their children, Katie Erin, Colin, Corey, all of John's Island, SC. Bill is also survived by his special son, Dr. Sanford Kim and his family of Nashville, TN; and one sister, Beverly Henry Crockett of Cape Canaveral, FL.
In 2010, Bill was predeceased by a daughter, Shari Henry Weathers.
A private committal service was held for Bill at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in the Olney Chapel, with inurnment in the Bell Tower Columbarium.
