GREER, SC-- Lillian Bridgeman McHugh, 88, widow of Curtis D. McHugh, died Thursday, November 5, 2009, at Oakmont West Nursing Center.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late, Richard H. and Ollie M. Pace Bridgeman, she was a retired employee of Stevens Aviation and a member of Abner Creek Baptist Church. She and Curtis were the founder and owners of ABC Security until retirement.
Surviving are two daughters, Ann Black of Greenville and Betty Tinsley and husband, Wes of Yemassee; two brothers, Ralph Bridgeman of Greer and James Walter Bridgeman of Taylors; and a grandson, Jonathan A. Gould of Taylors. Mrs. McHugh was predeceased by six brothers, Leonard Bridgeman, Clato Bridgeman, Ulyses Bridgeman, Ernest Bridgeman, Willis Bridgeman and Fred Bridgeman; a sister, Nathlee Hammond; and a son-in-law, Jim Black.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, November 9, 2009, at Woods Chapel United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Wallace Hughes, Rev. Vernon Thornhill and Rev. Joyce Ann Garner Murphy. Burial will follow in Abner Creek Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Scott Ogle officiating.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:-00 PM Sunday, November 8, 2009, at Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the 12 Judson Road, Greenville, SC.
