GREENVILLE, SC-- Eva Wilson Peden, 93, former resident of Cureton Street, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010.
Born August 31, 1916 in Laurens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charley Dean and Mary Ellen Seawright Wilson.
A 1938 graduate of Presbyterian College, she was a retired administrative assistant with South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Peden; a sister, Lucile Barbour; two brothers, Hartlette Dean Wilson and Herchel Woodrow Wilson; and a grandson, Frank Donald Peden, Jr.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert W. "Bob" and Louise Earle Peden of Greenville, SC, and Frank Donald "Don" and Gay W. Peden of Spartanburg, SC; and three grandchildren, Olivia Peden Baird, Sydney Peden, and Wilson Peden.
Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Dr. Ludwig Weaver officiating. Interment will be held in Fairview Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Fountain Inn, SC.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 13 Oregon Street, Greenville, SC 29605; or to Fairview Presbyterian Church, Building Fund, 126 Fairview Church Road, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.
