BUFFALO, SC-- Mr. Jack Giles, widower of the late Angie Gore Giles, died on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at his home. The son of the late Sam Giles, Sr. and Bertha Means Giles, he was educated in the Union County Schools, former employee of the United Merchants' Textile Plant, and was a veteran of the United States Army who served in the Korean War. Mr. Giles was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Union, SC.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Aressie Jones of Baltimore, MD; a granddaughter, Ms. Ebbie Rodgers of Jacksonville, FL; a grandson, Mr. William Rodgers, II of Spartanburg, SC; a son in-law, Mr. William Rodgers, Sr. of Spartanburg, SC.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 4:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Burial will be in the Wyatt's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in the Lukesville Community, Buffalo, SC.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 22, 2010, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gibson & Brown Funeral Home.
