BOILING SPRINGS, SC--Clayton Sprouse, 75, of 222 Northgate Circle, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was the son of the late Monroe Sprouse and Rowena Bright Sprouse.
He spent his life as a well-known Homebuilder, owning Sprouse Construction. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Korean War Veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Doris Netherton Sprouse, his childhood sweetheart; son, Robbie Sprouse of Boiling Springs; daughter, Lynn Sprouse Raines of Greer; grandsons, Byron (Snoopy) Sprouse, reared in the home and Jacob Raines of Spartanburg; great-granddaughter born November 22, 2010, Mallory Lynn Raines; brothers, Ted Sprouse of Texas and Larry Sprouse and wife Faye of Boiling Springs; and sisters, Doris Ann Cromer and husband Jimmie of Spartanburg and Aileen Sprouse of Pacolet.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Eggers Funeral Chapel officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Cash and Dr. David Lancaster.
