JONESVILLE, SC-- Mr. David Youngblood, age 63, of 153 Oakland Road, Jonesville, SC, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011, at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
Mr. Youngblood was born August 6, 1948, in Union, SC, the son of Donna Jean Mease Youngblood and the late James Ralph Youngblood. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. Mr. Youngblood was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War, and he retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after twenty-six years of service.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are two daughters, Scarlett Y. Alexander of Union and Danielle Youngblood of Hartsville; a son, Rock David Youngblood of Nevada; two brothers, Jim Youngblood and wife Debbie of Woodruff and Steve Youngblood and wife Kathy of Buffalo; two grandsons, Timothy Logan Alexander of Union and Justin Hall of Hartsville; one granddaughter, Samantha Hall of Hartsville; and one great-granddaughter, Ansley Reed Clayton of Union.
Graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2011, at New Hope United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. James Ivey and Rev. Robert M. Wofford.
Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
