ENOREE, SC-- Wesley Harold Ellis, 34, went home to be with the Lord, Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012, doing what he loved.
A native of Cherryville, NC he was the son of the late Harold and Barbara Jean Horton Ellis. Wesley was the loving husband for 15 years of Tara Hughes Ellis and was employed with Michelin. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Cedar Shoals Baptist Church and was a member of The Good Luck Hunt Club as he enjoyed hunting with friends as well as The Freewheelers Cycle Club having loved cycling.
Wesley was the loving and devoted father to his two sons, Westin Hunter Ellis and Colbin Isaiah Ellis of the home and was excited to be expecting his third child.
Survivors also include his brother, William Greg Ellis of Cherryville, NC; his sister, Tina Ellis Nikel of Osh Kosh, WI; his paternal grandfather, W.T. Ellis as well as a number of nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles whom he loved dearly. Wesley was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Sally Edna Ellis; and maternal grandparents, John and Maybelle Horton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Forest Hills Funeral Home from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Cedar Shoals Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Stephen Cannon and Rev. Carrol Caldwell. Wesley will be placed in the church at 12:00 Noon prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Building Fund, 220 Cedar Shoals Church Road, Enoree, SC 29335 in Wesley's memory.
