BOILING SPRINGS, SC- Richard Keith Allen, 52, of 180 Candlenut Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Bobby Keith and Martha Childers Allen. Mr. Allen was a U. S. Army veteran, was employed by Adidas of Spartanburg, formerly worked at BMG and Channel Bind and attended Stable Life Worship Center.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Keith Allen and Michael Crook, Jr. and wife, Tammy, all of Gaffney; a daughter, Lacie Marie Allen of the home; three brothers, Kevin McAbee of Rogers, Arkansas, Randy McAbee of Springdale, Arkansas and J. R. Gordon of Rogers, Arkansas; four sisters, Vickie Allen Bishop of Duncan, Rita Hall of Boiling Springs, SC, Marie Allen Bowman of Anderson, Missouri and Sheila Winn of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his guardian, Leonard "Red" McAbee of Springdale, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by two brothers, David Ray Allen and Michael Lee Allen and his guardian, Reba Jane McAbee.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 4, 2012, in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe White officiating. Interment will be in the Frederick Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Lacie Marie Allen, 180 Candlenut Lane, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
