David R. (Buck) Bumgarner|
SPARTANBURG, SC-- David Raymond (Buck) Bumgarner, 70, of 126 High Drive, Spartanburg, passed away Wednesday, December 26th, 2012, at Regional Hospice Home.
Buck was born in Hickory, NC on August 20, 1942, a son of the late Ivey (Shook) and Floyd Raymond Bumgarner. He was the husband of Leila "Becky" Smith Gregg Bumgarner and worked as a truck driver.
He was a member of Living Water Community Church and had served in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jane Yevette Bumgarner of Hickory, NC; two sons, David Allen Bumgarner of Cadiz, KY and Floyd Wayne Bumgarner of Newton, NC; a sister, Dianne B. Bailey of Claremont, NC; three step daughters, Wanda Gregg of Charlotte, NC, Cindy Bartlett and husband Terry of Inman, and Sandra Ridings and husband Tex of Moore, SC, 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 5 step grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy B. Travis.
The family is at the home and will receive friends today, Saturday, December 29, 2012, from 7-9:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Living Water Community Church at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 30th, with Rev. Frank Bryant officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs.
