NEW ORLEANS, LA-- Guy-Michael Ian Greer, age 30, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, in New Orleans, LA.
A lifelong resident of Lakeview, he is the son of Gary Bryant Greer and Laura-Lynn Greer, also of Lakeview, and was preceded in death by his brother, Marcel Therrin Bourcq. He was the beloved husband of Danielle Pillé Greer, a native of Spartanburg, SC, whom he began dating in 2003 and wed in 2009. The couple has one child, his adoring daughter, McKenzie Cadence Greer, who is 4 months old.
Guy attended elementary school at St. Dominic's, where he was also a parishioner, and graduated high school in 2001 from De La Salle High School. He was presently attending college at Delgado Community College and was one class shy of completing requirements for Master HVAC/R Technician. He was the owner of Greer's Elite Lawn Care and Landscape and took great pride in his work. In his free time, Guy enjoyed Saints football, camping, cooking, and above all, spending time with friends and family.
Guy is survived by his daughter, McKenzie Cadence Greer; his wife, Danielle Pillé Greer; his parents, Gary Bryant Greer and Laura-Lynn Greer, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation service on Wednesday, July 3 at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70124, beginning at 9:00 and Mass will begin at 11:00. Graveside services will follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the trust of Guy-Michael's daughter, McKenzie, by donating to her trust account at any Chase Bank.
