GREER, SC-- Thomas Woodrow Wilson, 65, of 440 Falling Waters Way passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. A native of Simpsonville, he was the husband of Donna Marie Deiter Wilson of the home and the son of the late Curtis and Mildred Green Wilson. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in Vietnam where he was awarded a Purple Heart for his service; he also earned two Expert Rifleman Medals and a Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors also include a son; Scott Wilson of Arlington Texas, two daughters; Tommie Adams of Lawton, OK, and Tiffany Heard of Lawton OK, two step-sons; Ray Taylor of Cowpens, and Robert Taylor of Boiling Springs, three step-daughters; Regina Hawkins of Boiling Springs, Roselie Lawter of Mayo, and Rebecca Glenn of the home, two brothers; Curtis and Dennis Wilson, and eight grandchildren; Scotty Wilson, McKean Heard, Will Adams, Allison Heard, Olivia Adams, Joshua Grizzle, Jacob West, and Jarrett Taylor. He was predeceased by a brother; Donald Wilson and a sister; Barbara Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday at The Stribling Funeral Home Chapel with Military Rites, the Rev. Tommy Kay will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM prior to the service.
