Margarette Young Martin
LYMAN-- Margarette Young Martin, 95, widow of Ira Babson Martin, died June 8, 2014 at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, Maryland.
A native of Hart County, Georgia, daughter of the late William Lee and Mary Ophelia Tiller, she was a retired cosmetologist and a member of First Baptist Church, Lyman.
Surviving are a daughter, Clarlyne "Lynn" Evans (Rex) of Stevensville, Maryland; three grandchildren, Bradley Young (Olivia), Angela Terry (Mark) and Jason Evans; and great-grandchildren, Dillon and Talley Young, Traice and Bryson Terry.
Mrs. Martin was predeceased by her first husband, Clark Russell Young, a son, Keith Young, a sister, Mary Lee Culbreth, and a great-grandson, John Young.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. J.N. McFadden. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Honorary escort will be the Ruth Bible Class First Baptist Church, Lyman.
Visitation will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. Friday at The Wood Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 80 Groce Road, Lyman, SC 29365.
