Alex Arrowood Obituary
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Alex 'Buddy' Arrowood, 70, son of the late Winford and Edith Arrowood, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2016. Born June 6, 1945, in Spartanburg, he was a member of Southside Free Will Baptist Church and a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Koon Arrowood; daughters and sons-in-law, Samantha Arrowood (Jose) and Amanda Gosnell (Shannon) and grandsons, Landon, Shane, and Noah of the home, Elizabeth Boles (Ken) of Tennessee, Tammy Arrowood Fowler of Spartanburg, and Tonya Ray (Harold) of Latimore, NC; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane Henson of New Prospect, SC; brother, Robert Arrowood of Ohio; cousin, Joe Arrowood of Spartanburg, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Arrowood; granddaughter, Natalie Gosnell; and son-in-law, Tony Fowler.
The family will receive friends 1:00-1:45 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Southside Free Will Baptist Church, 1250 Upper Valley Falls Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the church, conducted by Pastor Henry Guyton. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
