Bessie Taylor(1918 - 2014)

TELL CITY - Bessie (Little) Taylor, 95, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Perry County Nov. 3, 1918, to the late Edward and Anna (Smith) Little.
She was married July 6, 1936, to Roy Taylor, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Marjorie Price; granddaughter, Debbie Greulich; sisters, Esther Sumner and Mary Bowman and brothers, Shirley, Junior, Robert, Theodore and Richard Little.
Bessie retired from General Electric, was a charter member of Tell Street Baptist Church and former member of Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and praying. She volunteered her time at the Harvest House and Golden Living Center.
Surviving are daughters Jean Spurlock of Lincoln City and Bonnie (John) Weber of Tell City; a sister, Martha Smith of Grandview; seven grandchildren, Dean, Chris and Brad Weber, Kim Hensley, Kelly Helms, Mike Spurlock and Karen Spellmeyer; 17 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Rev. Ryan James will officiate. Burial will follow in Lilly Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tell Street Baptist Church or the George Little Cabin at Shubael Little Pioneer Village.
