Clifford Racine (1930 - 2017)

EVANSTON – Clifford Racine, 87, passed away at his residence in Evanston on June 16, 2017.
He was born March 2, 1930, to Henry C. and Johanna Fischer Racine of Evanston.
Cliff was a 1948 graduate of Chrisney High School, served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Santa Claus American Legion.
He married Romella Harris Racine on Aug. 29, 1958. He was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a self-employed farmer. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing Euchre, fishing and hunting.
Surviving him is his wife; his daughter, Regina (Kenny) Schaefer of Tell City; his son, Randy (Ann) Racine of Tell City; and his sisters, Helen Pruitt of Albany, Ga. and Imogene Lahee of Tell City. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Hannah and Chris Schaefer and Dominic and Brian Bauer, and two great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Audrey Bauer.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harold Racine.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 19, at St. John's Lutheran Church with burial immediately following in the Church Cemetery. Pastor Rodney Schmeltz will officiate. Visitation will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 18, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church.
