EVANSTON – Geneva M. Braun, 98, passed away June 3, 2018, at her home near Evanston.
She was born May 30, 1920, in Indianapolis to James and Ruth (Bridgewater) Adams. She was united in holy marriage to Clarence W. Braun on July 8, 1945.
She had been a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and currently a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, served as a vice chair lady of the Spencer County Democrat party and enjoyed the D.A.R. Geneva retired as a secretary at Swain Industries.
Surviving are her children, Dr. William Braun (Beverly) of Wauwautosa, Wis., Sandra Beermann (David) of Milwaukee, Wis., Patricia Ebersberger (Robert) of Tell City and Robin Knepper (Doug) of Evanston. Geneva was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, and her sister, Naomi Armstrong.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with burial in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Gadbaw will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church and to Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
