Jesse T. "Junior" McIntyre, Jr., 68, of Owensboro, Ky., passed away on Monday, Oct 2 in Rockport. He was born on Jan. 13, 1949, in Owensboro, to the late Jesse McIntyre, Sr. and Dorothy Dant McIntyre. He was a painter and retired from the Painter's Union. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport. He enjoyed taking care of his animals on his farm and was a thoroughbred horse trainer and raised them, as well as cattle. Junior was well known for his quick wit and generous nature.
He also was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Karen "Tootsie" Cameron McIntyre.
He is survived by a daughter, Julie (Kevin) Baker of Owensboro, three grandchildren, Morgan, Cameron and Kolbie Baker, siblings Judy Peters, Shirley Story (Don), Laquita McCarty, Michael McIntyre (Vickie), Jeanyne Haynes, Annette Dant (Greg), and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Thursday, Oct. a5, t St. Stephen Cathedral, 610 Locust Street, in Owensboro. Visitation was held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Haley McGinnis Funeral & Crematory and on Oct 5 at the funeral home. Burial was held in Elmwood Cemetery.
