Joy I. (Roos) Huebschman, 89, of Santa Claus passed away Thursday July 13, 2017 at Willowdale Nursing Home in Dale.
She was born May 6, 1928 in Benson, Illinois to the late Edwin and Katherine (McCoy) Roos.
Joy was a graduate of Chrisney High School. She worked in Avon sales for over 20 years and cared for the elderly within the area. She also for a few years was a nursing home aide and worked for G.E. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Lamar, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Huebschman (1992); brother, Claude Roos; and sister, Beverly Beckner.
Joy is survived by her daughters, Dana Jo Hurst and her husband Wayne of Newburgh; Dee Ann Woolems and her husband Brian of Santa Claus; son, Kevin Huebschman of Lynnville; brother, Duane Roos of Lamar; sister, Marcene Meyer and her husband Jim of Chrisney; her grandchildren; Ryan Huebschman and his wife Amy, Luke Woolems and his wife Emily, Brandon Huebschman and his wife Katie, Matthew Woolems, and Lauren Arthur and her husband Eric; Great-Grandchildren, Henry and Westin Huebschman, Tucker and Brynley Woolems, Ayden and Mackenzie Huebschman, Jade, Emma, and Noah Woolems, and Franklin Huebschman.
Services will be 2 PM Sunday July 23, 2017 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Lamar. Visitation will be held noon Sunday until time of service with Rev. Paul Jahn officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter's United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Boultinghouse Funeral Home-Youngblood Chapel in Chrisney is entrusted with arrangements.
