DALE – Ruth Haas, 100, passed away peacefully May 31, 2014, at Professional Care Rehabilitation Center in Dale.

She was born Nov. 9, 1913, the daughter of Frank and Freida (Polk) Haas.
She was a retired teacher, teaching two years in Henderson, Ky. and six years in Princeton. She taught 24 years and served as principal for 11 years at Scott Elementary School in Evansville.
After retiring, she traveled extensively with her mother. She was quite active with crafts and cultivating flowers.
Ruth was a member of the Business and Professional Woman's Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, AARP and Retired Evansville and Indiana Teachers associations.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy.
Ruth is survived by cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel. The Rev. Steve Brown will officiate the service with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Evansville Rescue Mission.
