BOONVILLE – Shirley Oldham, 77, passed away on Sept. 30, 2017, in Owensboro, Ky.
Shirley was born on Jan. 4, 1940, to the late Clarence and Florence Lindsey.
Shirley was a jailer for Spencer County for several years, a Nanny, and a Caregiver. She and her husband owned a service station in Midway until 1972, was a member of Free Zion Baptist Church, was an Angel on Earth, was the most loving and caring Mother and Wife, and saw good in everybody.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Van James Oldham in 2009; son Jeffery Oldham; brothers, Clarence Junior Lindsey, Kermit Lindsey, Enos Lindsey, Marion Lindsey, Curtis Lindsey; sisters, Irene Geer, Betty Spurlock; granddaughter Alma Percy Staples.
Shirley is survived by one daughter, Vanessa Oldham of Richland; two sons, Monte Kelley and his wife Reva of Richland, Don (Mac Daddy) Oldham of Rockport; brother Norman Lindsey and his wife Sue of Virginia; sisters, Dorothy Pauline Evans of Rockport, Kathy McDurmon and her husband Jim of Rockport, Gyneth Taylor of Georgia; grandchildren, Monte Kelley II, Leanna Risley, Malissa Kincaid, Cortney Havener, Joseph Oldham, Skyler Staples, Shane Staples; great grandchildren, Dakota Jones, Baylee Jones, Chance Risley, Dale Kelley, Amber Kelley, Kallie Havener, Presley Havener; great-great-grandchild Aubrey Jones.
Services are Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 2 P.M. at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Jimmy Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 until 8 P.M., Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the funeral home.
Memorial donations can be made to the Funeral Home in care of the family.
