ROCKPORT – Wanda Lee Brown, 78, of Rockport, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana.

Wanda was born in Geronimo, Okla. Sept. 21, 1935, to the late Joe and Maureen (Sinnahquote) Valdez.
Wanda loved to read books, especially autobiographies. She loved cooking shows and watching her great-granddaughter, Emma Kate, grow.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Randy, his wife, Brenda and their three daughters, Barry Kay, Christy Lee and Jamie Lynn.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gary Brown; children Tony Heminokekey and his wife, Debra; Holly Thompson and her husband, Jeff; grandchildren Christina Parsley and her husband, Kevin; Casey Tyson and her husband, Logan; stepgrandchildren, Zach Thompson and his wife, Samantha; Cassie Thompson and great-granddaughter, Emma Kate Parsley.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at James Parker Cemetery in Hatfield, with the Rev. Carl Jones officiating.
Boultinghouse Funeral Home of Rockport is entrusted with care.
