ROCKPORT – Mary Bell Thomas, 89, of Rockport, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor in Rockport.

Mary Bell was born in Stanley, Ky. Feb. 17, 1925, to the late George William and Mary Fleggie (Willet) Robertson.
Mary Bell was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had worked at General Electric in Tell City for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
She was preceded in death by her children, Charles W. Hulsey, Karen Kay Thomas; son-in-law, Ernie Duke; ex-husband, Otis Nathan Thomas and her siblings, Francis, Rosetta, Allie, Bernard, Mary Helena, Roy and Leon.
Mary Bell is survived by her children, Josephine Duke of Rockport; Wanda Smith and her husband, Kenny, of Owensboro, Ky.; Marvin Thomas and his wife, Ruth, of Rockport; her grandchildren, Darrell and Daniel Duke, Jason Blair, Amanda Riley, Jennifer Shore, Michelle Thomas and Valerie Schmidt; 14 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren and extended family, Larry and Lynn Seger, Carol Smith, Brenda Stephens and Pauline and Don Potts.
Services were held Thursday, March 6, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockport, with the Rev. John Brosmer officiating. Burial was in St. Rupert Catholic Church Cemetery near Red Brush.
Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport was in charge of arrangements.
