Buford Clay Martin

A Bloomfield resident, Mr. Buford Clay Martin, 87, passed away, Monday, March 18, 2013, at Windsor Gardens in Bardstown.
He was a native of Spencer County, a farmer, an Army World War II veteran, and a member of the Little Union Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late Virgil and Lula Betty Gunter Martin, and was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Martin; two brothers, Wilbert E. Martin and Emit Martin; and a grandson, Donovan Brown.
He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Elaine Bryson and her husband, Bob, of Taylorsville, Donna Kay Brown and her husband, Donnie, of Bloomfield; a son, Tony Allen Martin of Santa Cruz, Calif.; three grandchildren, Donna Jo Brown-Cunningham and her husband, Anthony, Nikki Lilly Murphy and her husband, Henry, and Lindsey Lilly; and two great-grandchildren, Bing Murphy and Kaylee Donovan Brown-Cunningham.
Services: Friday, March 22 at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Will Sipes officiating. Burial: Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to the Little Union Baptist Church.
The Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
