Ken Marsh, 63, of Taylorsville, went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, in Louisville, after a prolonged battle with cancer.
A native of Oregon City, Oregon, he was the son of Lowell Ray and Anna Marie Chinn Marsh. Graduating from West Linn High School in West Linn, Oregon, he continued his education at Northwest Christian College in Eugene, Oregon, graduating with a B.S. Degree in Christian Ministries. In 1978 he earned his Masters of Divinity from Emmanuel School of Religion in Johnson City, Tennessee. In 1982, he also received his Clinical Pastoral Certification from Howard County Hospital, in Kokomo, Indiana. He pursued additional studies at Cincinnati Christian University, Lincoln Christian College, Jasper County Hospice, the Tennessee State Mental Hospital, and the Indiana Division of the Salvation Army. Ken began his career in ministry at the Creswell Church of Christ in Creswell, Oregon, as an Associate Minister. On November 11, 1973, he was ordained into the Christian ministry at Willamette Christian Church in West Linn. In 1978, Ken entered full time ministry as the Pastor of Walton Christian Church in Walton, Indiana, then serving at First Christian Church, in Brook, Indiana. In 2012, our Lord called him to the mission field with Team Expansion as Coordinator of Connections. In this position, he was charged with the great responsibility of planning trips, sending God's people on short term missions into some of the places in the world most hostile towards Christianity.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Deborah Marsh of Taylorsville; son, Paul Ray Marsh, and wife, Lacy, of Noblesville, Indiana; daughter, Rebekah Ellen Gross of Portland Tennessee; mother, Anna Marsh of Henderson; sister, Barbara Ann Clark, Henderson; 2 grandsons, Evan Wayne Gross and Clayton Ray Marsh; sister-in-law, Lorraine Robison; nephew, Daniel Marsh; and nieces, Sarah Henry, Pama Weirdu, and Grace Strait.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
-II Timothy 4:78.
