Albert Lewis, of Taylorsville, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.

He was born in Washington County. He retired from General Electric Appliance Park, also he was a member of the Plum Creek Baptist Church, and a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his son Gary Lewis and a grand-daughter Dewayna Kay Surgercey.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Phyllis Adkins Lewis of Taylorsville; son, Steve Lewis of Chaplin; sisters, Nellie Boblett of Willisburg, Lucille Harold of Deckelb, Ill., Anna Ruth Chesser, and her husband, Albert, Pauline Boblett and her husband Leo, Dorothy Hood and her husband, Wendell, and Beulah Hood of Willisburg; brothers, W.T. Lewis and his wife, Linda, of Willisburg, Burtis Lewis and his wife, Virginia Rose, of Mackville, and Ralph Lewis and his wife, Edith Rose, of Springfield; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Sunday, Dec. 30, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Chapel with Bro. Jon Rohr officiating. Burial: Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.
