A Taylorsville resident, Mrs. Audrea Alma Smither, age 87, passed away, Sunday November 25, 2018, at her residence. She was the former Audrea Alma Sessions, born January 17, 1931, in Tallahassee, Florida, to the late James Herbert and Earon M. Johnson Sessions.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Plummer C. Smither Jr.

Audrea was a former secretary for the dean at University of Louisville Speed School and a member of the Simpsonville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Roderick) Dorman of Bloomfield, and Cindy (John) Murray of Frankfort; sister, Montrell (Ronald) Myklevedt of Carrollton, GA; brother, Carl (Carla) Sessions of Monroe, GA; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren also survive.

Cremation was chosen by the family. A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Audrea Alma Smither on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Valley Cemetery Chapel. Internment will follow in Valley Cemetery. Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
