Edward Lee Dailey, 88, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018.

He was a native of Spencer County, an honorary Kentucky Colonel, a farmer, and was awarded the Master Conservationist for Spencer County. He was a faithful member of Plum Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Tarrant; a brother, Allen Dailey; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Shely and Dorothy Coulter.

Edward is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mildred McDonald Dailey; daughter, Mariellen Yates (Jim); son, Edward Lee Dailey, Jr (Marsha); brother, James "Pete" Dailey; five grandchildren, Brian Husband, Deanna Carson, Jennifer Huber (Doug), Kyle Dailey (Gina), and Melanie McCallon Seib (Drew); along with three great grandchildren, Nathan and Ethan Dailey, Dylan McCallon.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., October 24, 2018, at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
