A Taylorsville resident, Mr. Gregory Allen Grant, age 57, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017, at his residence. He was born March 9, 1960, in Louisville, to Robert A. and Mary Helen Sheridan Grant. He was a mechanic for the Lake Forest Country Club, a former member of the Long Run Baptist Church, a WWII History buff and an avid UK Wildcat fan.

Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amethyst Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Waters Grant; daughters, Thesya Johnson of Irvine, KY, Lindsay (Anthony) Baker of Mackville, KY, Dana Grant Jewett of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Patricia (Adrian) Hernandez of Perryville; father, Robert Grant of Simpsonville; sisters, Ramona (Matthew) Darnell of Hollandell Beach, FL, Lisa (Kurt) Greenlee of Taylorsville, Pamela (Denny) Scarlett of Pee Wee Valley; brother, Phillip Grant of Louisville; Eight grandchildren, Alexis, James, Anthony, Jewel, Gwen, Anna, Sophia, Grace, Zarah, and Kalina; Mother-in-law Geneva Marie Shulthise; as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were Monday, October 2, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville. Bro. Tom Conway will officiate. Interment will be in Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 - 8 p.m. and Monday after 9 a.m. until time of funeral service. The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
