A Taylorsville resident, Mrs. Margaret Louise "Wa Wa" Ruble, age 55, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018, at her residence. She was born March 31, 1963, in Jefferson County to the late Carl Elwood and Margaret Jewell Hagan Blackburn. She was a child care provider and a member of Anchor of Hope Church. "Wa Wa" loved to travel, U.K. Athletics, Elvis Presley, and J.D. Shelburne.

She is survived by her daughter, Carlie (Joseph Lee) Burden; son, Carlton Bruce Ruble, both of Taylorsville; sisters, Phyllis (Ray) Shadowens of Greensboro, NC, Sharon Gissy-Lemus of Taylorsville, Diana (David) Lawless of Louisville; brothers, Carl "Shorty" (Charlotte) Blackburn, Michael "Birdie" (Vanessa) Blackburn, James "Jimmy" Blackburn, all of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Brianna Louise "BB" Burden, and David Lee "Bubba" Burden; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home. Bro. Rickey Cheatham and Sister Linda Norton officiated. Interment was in Valley Cemetery.

Visitation was Monday from 3 - 8 p.m. The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home of Taylorsville was in charge of arrangements.
